iPhone 11 Pro Max vs iPhone 12 Comparison

iPhone 11 Pro Max vs iPhone 12

Released in 2019 and 2020 respectively, the iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 12 are high-end smartphones. Designed to meet all needs, from the more usual (calls, surfing the net, social media etc.) to the more advanced (gaming), where they both offer excellent performance in all areas.

However, there are a few differences between them still. Find out how to choose between the two models below.

iPhone 11 Pro Max vs iPhone 12: difference in size!

Larger than its competitor the iPhone 12, the 11 Pro Max offers a particularly nice screen if you like to watch your favourite content on your smartphone. It's 6.5 inches in size, compared to the 6.1 inches of the iPhone 12, and it's also brighter than the iPhone 12, making it more comfortable to use in direct sunlight.

The larger iPhone 11 Pro Max is heavier as a result of the size (226 grams versus 164). Its dimensions are 158 X 77.8 X 8.1 mm against 146.7 X 71.5 X 7.4 mm for the iPhone 12. It offers nevertheless an excellent hand grip, but you may strugle to fit it in your jean pocket, unless your pockets are deep or you have a clutch hand bag (for girls) or a sling bag (for guys).

iPhone 11 Pro Max vs iPhone 12: do you prefer longevity or looks?

It can be difficult to distinguish between these two recent iPhones as there are so many similarities. This is the case in terms of photography (12 Mpx for each) for example. However, it's important to note that the iPhone 12 draws has a superior storage in comparison to the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The 12 is the only iPhone to offer a version with 512 GB.

It is also distinguished by the presence of a more solid screen, protected by Ceramic Shield technology. This limits the risk of breakage and scratches. The iPhone 12 difference is also notable thanks to its Bionic A14 chip (as opposed to the A13 chip for the iPhone 11 Pro Max), which brings more fluidity to its user interface. The difference in fluidity may be minimal during everyday use, but the newer chip allows the iPhone 12 to be supported by Apple's future updates for many years to come.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max is designed for users that prefer larger screens and consume video content a lot more. The iPhone 12 is more for those who want to keep their smartphone for as long as possible, while allowing it to evolve through future updates.
