So far, the experience has been very positive. I uninstalled Windows 11 (because Microsoft) and experimented with various Linux distros. ZorinOS isn't ideal on Surface, because of screen resolution issues. Pop! Linux was okay but fussy. Fedora Linux has turned out to be the perfect solution -- mature, well-designed system that does almost everything. The one thing I haven't managed to get working on any distro (apart from brief success on ZorinOS, but it didn't last!) is the touchscreen. But it's not a key feature for me, and I haven't experimented in Fedora yet (just about to!). Otherwise the machine runs really well, has good battery life (especially under Linux!) and is a pleasure to use. Very slight scuffs on the two front corners (and you have to look closely to see them) were the only "used-computer" issues -- probably due to someone trying to force it into a too-small carry case. Great machine with a lovely screen, delivered in very good time (one day early, in fact). I'm so tempted to get another one for running Windows!
