iPhone 12 Pro vs iPhone 12 Pro Max Comparison

iPhone 12 Pro vs Pro Max

These two Apple smartphones, both of which are very advanced, are quite similar in performance and fluidity to the iPhone 12. Their design is elegant, and components used are for the most part identical. However, there are a few differences that will help you make the right choice. This is particularly true for battery life and photography.

iPhone 12 Pro, a compromise between size and performance

Slightly smaller than the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the iPhone 12 Pro lets you enjoy the quality of its 6.1-inch Super Retina OLED display (compared to the 6.7-inch Super Retina OLED display of the iPhone 12 Pro Max) plus a host of components. The A14 Bionic chip is shared with the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It's particularly powerful and offers great fluidity, no matter what application you're using. However, this version of the iPhone has a slightly shorter battery life than the Pro Max and is somewhat inferior in photo quality too.

iPhone 12 Pro Max, the biggest of the 12 series

The larger iPhone 12 Pro Max is harder to handle with one hand than the previous model. It does, however, offer a larger screen, which is ideal if you're used to watching your favourite content on your smartphone. On the storage side, it has similar features to the iPhone 12 Pro - you can choose between 128, 256 and 512 GB, but what really makes the difference is the battery life. The iPhone 12 Pro Max, with a larger battery, gains up to 3 hours of battery life extra. When it comes to photography, the performance of the two smartphones is quite different. The iPhone 12 Pro Max has a new telephoto lens with a 5× optical zoom (only 4× for the iPhone 12 Pro) and an f/2.2 aperture (compared to 2.0 for the iPhone 12 Pro). This makes it even better, especially in low-light conditions.

If you want a good compromise between large screen size and reading comfort, the iPhone 12 Pro is for you. The 12 Pro Max is more complicated to handle with one hand and doesn't fit easily in your pocket, but if you're looking for the smartphone with the longest battery life and the best photography capabilities, then the iPhone 12 Pro Max is the ideal choice.
