I'm switching from Apple to Android after almost 10 years... Big apprehension. I was fed up of breaking my iPhones, of having to spend a certain amount of money each time, even on refurbished ones, and always with a problem (touch id, battery...).
I took the plunge, and it was either for a fairphone or a Crosscall... 200€ reconditioned, paying 80€ because of a special offer, so it's clearly worth it. Everything works well, the battery is top notch, then 16€ new change itself... so top notch.
On the other hand, you really have to want to change your habits. Photos aren't possible for me with this phone, and neither is sound.
But for a return to sms, phone, email and a few apps, it's top notch and I'm confident.
(I've chosen not to go back to social networking on purpose) So it's really compatible, even if the phone can take on apps.
