Oculus Rift + Touch VR headset

It's a shame we can't post photos as I've taken some to illustrate my point. The helmet arrived well packaged in its original box and it works correctly. However, it has not been looked after at all: dirty lenses, cat hair and hair all over the foam, even embedded, slightly damaged helmet foam. Worst of all, the batteries in the joysticks had not been removed and had leaked. Fortunately they didn't damage the controllers. As the headset works, I don't rate it "disappointing", but I wouldn't recommend this sloppy seller!

Fast delivery, well packed and protected box. All the equipment is in very good condition, just the left ear headphones are faulty.

Unfortunately, the device had a significant defect in the system cable, which was also visible (heavily twisted, loop formation). In operation, the glasses often failed and then displayed HDMI errors in the diagnostic tool. A thorough inspection of the device would have revealed this defect, so I come to the conclusion ... I won't buy here again. Normally I would have to return the glasses, but we got a replacement cable for 99 €, so it is anything but cheap used, but it works.

The headset is a Christmas present, so we haven't used it yet. But do we need to have a remote control?

The product is not in good condition at all (aesthetically) marks, hair on the foam of the helmet, bent cables, I just hope it works at least as it is a Christmas present for my son. It's a pity that we can't put any pictures....

Normal signs of use of a VR were to be expected. Nevertheless, it is a bit of a shame that the inner frame to which the cushion is attached comes off immediately after unpacking. I'm not talking about the glued foam padding, but the entire frame to which it is attached. In addition, the left headphone does not work. After a short Google tour, I found out that this is a problem of the Rift VR, which can occur after long use. Nevertheless, it is a bit strange that a product is stated as "good" and that such defects can be found directly after the first use. The trackers / controllers work without any problems, but having to wear my normal headset in addition to the VR because a headset doesn't work on the "new" VR is quite humiliating...
