I had ordered an iPad that was intended as a gift. Unfortunately, it only arrived in the original packaging, which was only wrapped in a thin plastic bag. The corners of the packaging were dented, giving the impression of careless despatch. For a high quality product like this, I would expect the packaging to be adequate to protect the contents as well as allow it to be presented as a gift. The inadequate packaging not only detracted from the appearance, but also diminished the surprise effect of the gift. I hope that the retailer will take more care with the packaging in future. Fortunately, the delivered tablet arrived undamaged and as described.
