I bought a phone at the end of July with a fault (network unstable, 5G unstable, 4G unstable, calls impossible, etc.). I decided to wait for updates as the product is new and recent. It's now the end of November and the problems persist despite the updates. So I decided to send the phone back. There was no solution from BackMarket (apart from a 10 per cent discount on repairs at my expense...) and the retailer (ServiceGrand OÜ) couldn't (wouldn't) repair or refund a phone that was basically faulty because there was a (tiny) impact on the edge of the phone. So I end up with a faulty basic phone costing 400 euros. I tried to give the "reconditioned" product a chance, but never again! It's a faulty product resold by a company posing as a customer/retailer contact platform (crooks based in Turkey, who can't be contacted...) who clear themselves of all responsibility for refunds behind their "charter". I should have sent the product back as soon as I received it, just like a basic, unhappy customer who wouldn't give it a chance. I was patient and in good faith and here I am 400 euros poorer with a company that pretends to be listening to you and acting in good faith. They say in business that the customer is king, but here the customer is a victim of a scam organised by a platform and unscrupulous retailers. They pass themselves off as benefactors advocating more ecological consumption, so I'm going to have to buy a new phone from a real, honest seller. In the end, two phones will be consumed and a customer will be the victim of his bank account being emptied. Thank you BackMarket, I think that the UFC que choisir's complaint against you is not unfounded and is even deserved. What's more, my problem is far from isolated. Avoid this platform and this retailer, sooner or later you'll realise that paying less means paying less quality, and above all the risk of being ripped off stupidly.

I got a defective phone, I can't get good coverage and data, it suddenly stops working and leaves me stranded in the middle of a conversation etc. I sent it to be fixed and they sent it back the same, now I want my money back and it doesn't seem to be easy. I feel ripped off.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo takes its spot among mid-range Android phones with features that still hold up in 2025, despite launching back in March 2023. Packing a Snapdragon chip and a striking OLED display, it’s crafted for day-to-day demands with a focus on smooth scrolling and sharp visuals. While newer models like the Redmi Note 13 series have arrived, the Note 12 Turbo continues to punch above its weight for the essentials.
Key features:The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is a practical choice for students, commuters, and everyday users seeking a vibrant display and dependable performance in a tidy, lightweight package. If you love streaming, social scrolly time, and quick app launches but don’t fuss over flagship extras (like wireless charging or water resistance), this model ticks the boxes. Compared to premium-tier phones, it places essentials first, with the smoothness of its 120Hz panel standing out in this price tier.
