Visually nothing like the speakers in the photo, and I know because I had these z323s for years until they broke. The bass doesn't fluctuate no matter how much I turn it. But when I plug in headphones the volume goes up as much as I want, unlike all the other speakers in the world that get the headphone volume up to a mobile-like volume, and that's exactly what I wanted so I'm relatively compliant.
