    After weeks of dithering between the Elite 340 G8 and the G7, asking many, many questions I finally settled on the G7, and as the price was so reasonable opted for a new battery. The price still came well within my budget. The laptop arrived a few days early which was a lovely surprise, and when they said "excellent" condition that is exactly what I got. This far exceeds my expectations. There is one teeny tiny mark on the underside near the touchpad, but that is all. It honestly looks, and feels brand new. I had to tweak one or two minor settings - the @ and " had swapped places - apparently a US thing, but that was easy enough to change. I've had to get used to a touchpad that requires a tap rather than a click, but, as with everything in life, the more I use it, the easier it becomes. The speakers - Bang & Olufsen - being on the top of the keyboard make the sound quality much better than I have been used to, as many laptops have then underneath! The only thing I don't like is that pointer - the little round rubber doo-hickey - stuck in the middle of the keyboard, but, again, I'm getting used to ignoring it. This is a really solid, well built machine, without being to heavy to pick up and move. I am delighted with it and recommend both Backmarket and the seller.

    I would order from back market again, I just one problem with my order. When I received my order it was actually sooner than I expected which I appreciated alot. I opened the laptop and it booted up fine no issues at all. Then after a few moments of using the laptop I was hit with a horrible and intense rubbery smell. The smell was so strong I had to get up and leave the computer. This smell continued for about 3-4 hours and then faded. I can no longer smell the rubber and the laptop works fine. Do understand that when buying refurbished items the item may smell like this because of the chemicals used to replace parts like the battery. Although if you are put off by smells like this, especially rubber I don't think you'll have a great initial experience. Overall I do recommend buying this laptop though if you want it for gaming I wouldn't recommend as the graphics card kinda of sucks.
