    Hello Thank you for your e-mail, which shows some concern for customers. That's good. In fulfilment of your request, I'm going to tell you honestly what happened with my order. Your fingers didn't work: it really went wrong. If you have the patience to read the whole "report", you will certainly understand my motives, procedures, failed attempts and more or less successful attempts to put things right, without going into the work of complaints, returns and refunds, for which, especially in the case of sums of money, I felt it was unjustified, and for which I am already running out of patience. The full report follows: 1 REASON FOR THE ORDER: I have a Macbook Air 13" and an iMac from 2019, in different compartments and with which I usually work on my retired hobbies. Occasionally (two or three times a year) I need to use an older Macbook, from 2010, with some applications from the days when you could get them for free and which my other, more up-to-date computers don't allow me to install (applications whose upgrades almost all work through monthly or annual subscriptions at exorbitant prices). As it happens, the processor in the old 13" Macbook died, leaving me unable to access these applications. 2 SOLUTION: Buy a refurbished Mac Mini with the same or a compatible operating system, and install the applications whose installers I have archived. 3 ORDER: I received the order for the mac mini I bought from you, only with a change (for the better, I think) in the configuration, as it came with a 1T hard drive, as opposed to the 128 GB advertised. 4 WHAT WENT WRONG: the first time I switched it on, it took a long time, which I didn't think was normal; it also came with French as its main language; when it booted up, there were two buttons to choose from: a red flower (to log in as administrator) and a doll representing a guest user (very limited access to changing system preferences, etc). Then the unexpected happened: wanting to start as an administrator, I was asked for my password, which I obviously didn't have (and I'm sure your shop didn't either). 5 FINAL SOLUTION (very clumsy, but successful, considering how infrequently I'll be using the whole set-up I'd imagined): I dismantled the dead 13" macbook and immediately found the hard drive right there at hand; the data on it gave me hope: SSA, 2.5", 500GB. I took it out and put it away, hoping to find an SSS-USB adapter; I found it, ordered it and connected it to the Mini. I pressed the start button and the OPTION key simultaneously: I was presented with a choice of two boot discs, I obviously clicked on the disc connected to the Mini via USB, it started up, and then the desktop of the late 13" macbook appeared with all the material I had on it; I opened documents, applications such as Photoshop or Adobe Acrobat, etc. Problem solved, albeit in a clumsy way. ("computer with a tail" model. The result: savings in bureaucratic and manual labour, and above all the practical application of the Descartes-style scientific experimental method. This is my reply to your email. Job classification: WELL DONE, but... Best regards.
