Great product, little bit of munting on the front of the unit, but what do you want for €127?!

Hi, I received the PC, and everything works fine, except the Bluetooth, I replaced the dongle installed by a TP ub 400 This didn't do anything and I spent 3 hours with the TP Link ingénierie, and it seems that the bluetooth was already installed.. I bought a 3 meter audio câble. But, at every starting of the PC, the system asks me to reboot and it works.. I will have a look at the problem when i have a little bit more time.. No hdmi,no vifi,no soud

The choice isn't easy, given the number of models on offer. I don't regret having chosen a Dell Core I5, which is very fast, after having used a reconditioned Dell I3 for several years, but very slow in the end. There are 3 downsides to my satisfaction (which I'll mention elsewhere): 1- when the power socket is switched on, the computer turns on and then shuts down within 2 seconds, so I have to switch it back on using the front panel switch. 2- The drive drawer doesn't open by itself, so I have to help it. 3- burning audio CDs makes a terrible noise (but it works...)!

The product received is satisfactory. It does not quite correspond to what was expected as the claimed 512Gb SSD disk turned out to be split into 2 drives one of which was on sata. Furthermore, on arrival, although the packaging was intact, the computer 'rattled' when I pulled it out: I found a piece of plastic and a screw loose inside. The latter represented a potential risk of short-circuiting the MB. I was therefore less satisfied than with my previous purchase (the suppliers were different: the first - excellent - Catalan, this French).

I've only just got round to setting this up. As it happens I worked for Dell in a variety of roles, some of them technical, quite a few years ago but I've stayed loyal to the brand, and I'm not averse to sorting issues out myself. I bought the box to replace a still functional but aging Optiplex 790, which wouldn't upgrade to Windows 11, and I wanted a spec that would last. I was a shade disappointed that it didn't have an optical drive but I have a USB one so it's not a major drawback. I also failed to do my homework and found I couldn't connect my monitor to it owing to me not having a Displayport cable, (the 790 was DVI-D) which proved harder to obtain than I expected (Curry's PC World don't stock them in-store, but they could order me one - no thanks, I'm quite able to go on-line myself). I had also poked around inside and initially thought the hard drive was missing - then discovered it was an on-board 1Tb card - how technology has moved on...... Now up and running, and wow is it blisteringly quick - as it should be. This spec, albeit on a new platform, would have cost me more than double, had I ordered it from Dell. The PCpack seller dispatched the parcel on the day I ordered it, which I received the next day. The tower was well packaged and secured in bubble wrap and a strong cardboard box. I found the tower to be in very good condition, the reconditioning was well done, I just had a small problem with my DVD drive which wasn't playing anything, it turned out that it was just the Windows 10 DVD drive which wasn't activated, which happens with some versions of W10. All in all, very satisfied with my order and my PC. Very satisfied with the seller and thank you backmarket.

One year after purchase, this computer is still as efficient and satisfactory as ever. I haven't had a single fault to report. The only thing to be aware of is that the WiFi functionality doesn't seem to be in the basic model, but is obtained thanks to a USB accessory supplied by the refurbisher. This accessory doesn't work on Linux, my default operating system, but it works quite well on Windows. For me, who prefers to connect my desktop with an Ethernet cable, it's acceptable. Finally, you'll need a VGA-compatible screen, or a VGA-to-HDMI adapter (which costs £4).
