I've never bought refurbished before. However, I couldn't see any reason why I wouldn't give it a go given the crazy prices of new phones nowadays. My OnePlus 5T was bought in 'good' condition. While the casing is probably in 'fair' condition, the screen is mint, it charges excellently, is literally as good as new - and most importantly - the battery keeps its charge perfectly. And with my new case on it, you'd never see any casing scuffs anyway. I know buying a refurbished phone can be hit and miss, but for my first experience, it was a hit. I'll never ever buy new again.

I bought a smartphone in "very good condition" but I realised (too late...) that the microphone is slightly defective, my caller hears me very badly in the first few seconds of the call, and then the problem seems to go away. Unfortunately, I didn't realise this within the possible return time... One of the two screws at the bottom of the phone is also less tight than the other, so I don't know if there's a link.

After the battery performance of my OnePlus T5 had deteriorated after 5.5 years, I actually only wanted to have the battery replaced. Since that alone cost €100, I decided to buy a refurbished one for €169. The battery life is as usual, you just have to be careful that it doesn't get below 20% or so. Then it just goes out. The other 80% lasts a long time. No scratches when in "good" condition. I am very satisfied.
